2018 PDCA Project of the Year

Contractor Participation Details
Putting Excellence to the Test!Entries are to be received by Friday, July 27, 2018.
Winning entries will receive recognition in PileDriver magazine and will receive their physical award at the PDCA 23rd Annual International Conference and Expo 2019.
All participating companies must focus on the completeness in addressing each of the criteria outlined in the official 2018 PDCA POY form. 2018 PDCA POY judges are instructed not to focus on the sophistication of the presentation, but to only judge the content presented as it pertains to the job and the POY 2018 criteria.

General requirements
PDCA Contractor Members' piling projects completed on or before Dec. 31, 2017, are eligible for entry.
Entries must be submitted with the permission of the principals or officers of the firm.
The dollar categories for project entries are based on the dollar volume of the piling contract.
Entry categories are split between Land and Marine.
Within each of these two categories, there are five project volumes:

Entry fee: $175.00 per project, must accompany entry form.

Provide a Summary:
Required 
Why did your company choose to submit this project to receive a PDCA Project of the Year Award?
Answer as many of these that apply 
Special innovation in construction techniques, equipment and/or materials used
Unique application of piles or design consideration
Construction problems and creative solutions
Cost saving measures such as value engineering
Innovative project management
Design changes from other deep foundation or earth retention systems to driven piles
Management or mitigation of environmental considerations

How to submit final POY presentation
All final entries must be submitted on a flash drive.
Flash drive includes 
MS Word document containing full entry/job details
Do not convert to pdf
Don't embed the photos in the text
Please reference photo names in text
Photos a minimum of eight high-resolution color photos
Label photos to match text references
Photos should try (not required) to highlight the progression of the construction process, including the finished product
Photos will be used in the POY video and in the PDCA publication, and should be clear and an accurate representations of the project
