The Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA) is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts / Case Studies / Topic & Presentation suggestions for the 21st Annual Design & Installation of Cost-Efficient Piles (DICEP) Conference and the 23rd Annual International Conference & Expo.
The DICEP Conference will be held on September 15-17, 2021 at the New Orleans Marriott hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. The theme of the conference is "Innovation in Design, Construction & Equipment". The submission deadline is by close of business on March 31, 2021.
The PDCA 23rd Annual International Conference & Expo will be held on February 9-12, 2022 at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. The theme of the conference is "A Global Presence with a Local Touch: Driving Innovative Solutions." The submission deadline is by close of business on April 30, 2021.
Both conferences will consist of keynote presentations, case histories, and technical presentations addressing the conference themes and needs of the industry. Varied presentation lengths will be considered, between 15 - 60 minutes, and will be determined based on presentation flow, content relevance, and PDH requirements.
If you have an abstract you wish to share with the Education Committee for consideration please be sure it summarizes, usually in one paragraph of 300 words or less, the major aspects of the entire presentation in a prescribed sequence that should include:
2) the basic design of the study/job site reference
3) major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis or investigation
4) a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions
5) a minimum of two audience take-aways
The Education Committee intentionally makes the process for submitting abstracts as simple as possible to allow for both technical and non-technical presenters to have an opportunity for submission. Once the deadline for submittal(s) passes, the Education Committee reviews and selects those presentations that best represent the conference theme. Non-selected abstracts are kept on file with the PDCA for a full year with potential for alternative use in publications, member website resources, and other PDCA materials.
*Submissions become eligible content for future PDCA publications, if the submitter desires, but this is not a requirement.
