We're not shy about the fact that we believe that a driven pile is a tested pile.
In an effort to put pictures to words and pool our experiential resources, we'll be planning several plant tours to pile manufacturing facilities. Our first stop will be at the Palmetto Pile Driving prestressed concrete pile manufacturing plant on June 6th (in lieu of a meeting at the Town and Country that evening). The tour will start at 10:30 am (beds should be ready to pour and available for inspection prior to casting) with lunch served around 11:30 (feel free to stick around during and after for the pour and to ask additional questions). Individuals and companies from the design, fabrication, installation, testing, and material supply fields to be present to answer questions. Past experience has shown that there are no limits to the depth of additional insight gained from fantastic questions asked and answered together by those most interested in a quality project. We invite you to be a part of that process on June 6th!
It can be inspected during fabrication.
It must endure the stresses of fabrication, stripping, and shipment prior to being installed
Every blow of the hammer during install is immediate feedback regarding the quality of the product being installed and it's ability to handle the loads required.
