JMC Steel/Atlas Pipe Piles Annual Student Day

Once again, the PDCA will support the 2015 JMC Steel/Atlas Pipe Piles Annual Student Day. PDCA first became associated with this program in April 2014 and we look forward to coming back to Chicago to the JMC Steel/Atlas Pipe Piles manufacturing mill to welcome back the students. Student Day is scheduled on February 24, 2015.
Student Day is a great opportunity for engineering students to learn about the structural steel products they will work with in their future careers. The fee event will begin with buses arriving on campus to transport the students back to the mill. Throughout the day, students will hear presentations from and network with industry professionals, participate in a guided tour of the manufacturing mill and be shown firsthand how steel pipe piling is manufactured, and enjoy a complimentary lunch.
The PDCA will attend the Student Day, so we can introduce the students to the PDCA, explain the mission and activities of the PDCA, provide handouts and promote student membership in the PDCA, as well as PDCA scholarship opportunities.
