In East Chicago, Ind., Richard Goettle, Inc. helped construct a barrier wall system to seal off an existing contaminated site from the Lake George Canal. All workers had to undergo 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response and had to complete blood tests before and after site work to monitor their health and detect any potential exposure to hazardous substances. Ordinary in Appearance Only: Reconstruction of Gambo Creek Bridge

The pile driving for the Gambo Creek Bridge in Dahlgren, Va., involved two pile-supported abutments and seven pile bents. The project was also located in an environmentally sensitive marshland, culturally significant archeological site and featured the potential presence of unexploded ordinances. What did that mean for Kokosing Construction Company, Inc.? The new bridge had to be built within the alignment of the existing bridge. This was an interesting project with a lot of moving parts read how the team got it done.

The 2025 PDCA Membership Directory Will Include Your Company Listing; Review It Now For Accuracy

Updates to your PDCA membership account are past due, and we have extended the deadline to make updates to your account to October 23rd. Your account must be up to date to ensure that your listing will accurately publish in the 2025 Membership Directory, distributing in early 2025.

Login to your account today to review/update your data. The following 'HELP GRAPHICS' can assist your navigation.

1. Company Membership (Organizations)
     Login to Your Account

Before clicking the button below, to update your account, you must login to the system:

  • Your old PDCA password won't work; you will click 'Member Login' in the upper right of the piledrivers.org homepage begin a new login. See image below
 
  • Next, click 'Forgot Password,' and wait for an email asking you to reset your password. Enter your email address and click 'Submit.' See image below
 

Once you are in the new system, you can access your account(s). There are different accounts for you as an individual and your company organization:

  • A current company member (organization) account page has your business contact information and a logo. Modify this page to reflect updates.
  • A current member representative (individual) account page, includes direct contact information, a photo, and more. You can make any changes you choose.

Review the following steps to make the changes about your membership account.

  • Review info for accuracy and click easy 'Edit' buttons to make changes
  • Upload company logo if one is not already there

     Complete All Fields in Your Account

Make sure you click the tabs - there are opportunities to enter important information such as what services your company offers and your service area(s). This information is critical to your entry in the Membership Directory.

*This section also includes a prompt to enter your membership level (not shown in diagram); this is important to ensure you are an active PDCA member at the appropriate dues level. YOUR ENTRY HERE IS NOT MADE PUBLIC.

4. Member Representatives (Individuals)

  • Everyone at your member company may have an individual account
  • Primary Representative and Representative roles have individual account pages and are the ONLY roles to be featured in PDCA directories
  • Enhance your individual page by clicking the 'edit' buttons that are showing.
  • Employees who to attend a PDCA live or virtual event, purchase from The PDCA Store, or engage in any capacity will have to establish an account
  • Individuals can establish an employee account, and provide the info they wish

Why Join? Listing in Annual Membership Directory is a PDCA Benefit

If you're not a PDCA member but would like your company represented in the online and annual hard-copy membership directories, The PDCA Connection can help you. Visit www.PileDrivers.org and click Join PDCA! by Oct. 15th. Then, select the button that best represents your organization (Contractor, Associate, etc.) and follow the path to complete an online registration. You will need to establish both a company and individual profile to successfully enroll. Finally, PDCA allows members to display company logos in their listing at no extra cost.

PDCA Visits Mile High City for DFI Annual Event

Through an ongoing Cooperating Agreement, PDCA actively and enthusiastically supports Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) events. The organizations have developed a valuable relationship in the foundation construction industry. 

Many PDCA members are also involved in DFI and further contribute to advancement of the driven pile through knowledge and networks built through forums made available by both organizations, such as conferences and other programs. The 2024 DFI Annual Conference brought hundreds of attendees, including many PDCA members to the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center near Denver, CO, October 7-10, 2024. In addition to an impressive curriculum of educational programming, the event also featured inspirational presentations, a 5K Fun Run, networking receptions, an exhibit hall, and more.

Many PDCA members were involved in various aspect of the 3-day event. Presentation Chairs who are active in DFI and PDCA hailed from member companies, such as BAUER Equipment America, Geokon, and Dan Brown and Associates. Presenters on subject matter sessions included representatives from John Lawrie Tubulars, Geoengineers, Geosciences Testing and Research, Terracon, Vortex Marine Construction, Giken Equipment, GRL Engineers, Inc., GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., Keller, Pile Dynamics, Inc., and Geosyntec. Sponsoring companies included International Construction Equipment, CPS Houston, Liebherr, Pile Dynamics, Inc./GRL Engineers, Inc., American Piledriving Equipment, and BAUER Equipment America. Cajun Industries was a special honoree for a project award.
