For the third consecutive year, members and friends of the PDCA Texas Chapter met for a fun, competitive golf tournament to support Chapter initiatives, including the new, annual Scholarship Program, which concluded its first year with an introduction of student awardees during a ceremony that followed tournament play.
The 2025 Golf Tournament took place on Sept. 23rd at Eagle Point Golf Club in Mont Belvieu, TX. The event began with registration at 7:00 AM, followed by an 8:30 AM shotgun start. Many of the 92 total golfers arrived early to warm up on the practice green, network, and feast on breakfast burritos, courtesy of CPS Houston.
Once play began, teams of four sprawled out across the course to begin the 18 hole, best ball scramble. At various holes, players met exhibit tents which provided refreshments, give-aways, and even some novelties such as the 'machine gun drive' and the 'chipping contest.' The exhibiting hole sponsors included: Aggregate Technologies, Service Steel Warehouse, Lodge Lumber Co., Pipe & Tube Supplies, Inc., Orion, and Gonzo Logistics, The generous event sponsors were APE-American Piledriving Equipment, PILECO, Inc., John Lawrie Tubulars and Mustang Cat.

After golf, all players gathered in the air-conditioned banquet hall for a buffet lunch, a program by the PDCA Texas Chapter leadership which formally announced the winners of the 2025 Chapter Scholarships, a raffle, and a golf awards presentation. The 1st and 2nd place teams, along with the Men's and Women's Longest Drive contest and the Men's Closest to the Pin contest are pictured at the top of this page. A third place team consisting of JD Fields & Co. representatives Dean Abbondanza, Walter Van Zuthem, Erica Parker and Jeremy Davidson.
The PDCA Texas Chapter thanks all golfers, sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers who made the event possible. Also, a special thanks to Chapter Coordinator Shiri Foster, Chapter Secretary Jene Adler, and PDCA staff Marian Phillips for administering the tournament and events. Chapter leadership is especially proud to invest in the future of the driven pile industry through scholarship awards, the newest program the Chapter showcased during the 2025 event.
