The PDCA Pacific Coast Chapter hit a major milestone on April 17, 2026, hosting its 15th Annual Scholarship Shoot at Birds Landing--and it delivered exactly what attendees have come to expect: a full day of camaraderie, competition and giving back.
The day kicked off bright and early with registration at 8:00 a.m., followed by a 9:00 a.m. start on the course. Shooters came prepared for a great experience, receiving 100 targets, ammo, and all the essentials needed to enjoy the competition. Whether seasoned pros or first-time participants, everyone had a chance to test their skills while supporting a meaningful cause.
By early afternoon, the focus shifted from the course to connection. Attendees gathered for a BBQ lunch, networking, awards, and plenty of excitement through raffle drawings and a lively live auction. Chapter President Darren Riddle, VP Shawn Hooker, and PDCA Executive Director Frank Peters gave brief remarks prior to the awards program, where Riddle handed out trophies to the winning shooting team, as well as some individual performance recognitions. From impressive gun packages to a sought-after hunting experience, there was no shortage of ways to get involved and contribute.
Most importantly, every registration, sponsorship and raffle ticket purchased directly supports the Pacific Coast Chapter Scholarship Fund and future initiatives. It's a powerful reminder that this event is about more than shooting--it's about investing in the next generation of the deep foundations industry.
The PDCA Pacific Coast Chapter receives incredible support from industry companies in the region which are recognized as event and shooting station sponsors. Those sponsors for the 2026 Scholarship Shoot include: Hammer & Steel, JD Fields & Co., Bay Machinery Corp., ECORP Consulting, Inc., Foundation, Nucor Skyline, Original Survey Solutions, PILECO, Inc., Pile Drivers, Divers Bridge, Wharf & Dock Builders, ISCO, Reeve Trucking, Oldcastle Infrastructure, PJ's Rebar, and North Coast States Carpenters Union.
Fifteen years in, and this event continues to hit the mark.
