PROGRAMMING NOTE: July Conference to Award 2025 Project of the Year Winners

The April 10th deadline has come and gone for PDCA members aspiring to compete in the 2026 Project of the Year Awards program. It was another huge showing of submissions, resulting in several categories which are queued-up to be spirited contests. All projects submitted by the due date are now under review, and the PDCA judges panel will be returning their score sheets in coming weeks. If you submitted a project that eventually wins a 2026 award, you and your project team will be publicly introduced and celebrated for the first time in the August PileDriver magazine. Following the publication reveal of the 2026 Project of the Year Awards winners, you will be publicly awarded during a live, special ceremony at IFCEE 2027.

For those going to the 2026 PDCA Annual Conference & Expo taking place July 7-9 in Orlando, you are encouraged to attend the July 9th luncheon which will recognize the winners of the 2025 Project of the Year Awards program. PDCA urges all winning companies in last year's competition to send representatives to Orlando for a formal celebration of the inspiring driven pile work that your team performed. To remind you, the 2025 Project of the Year Awards winners are:

In addition the project awards, the awards ceremony will also be an opportunity for PDCA to announce the 2026 Association Awards winners. The categories which will be recognized this summer are:
  • Presidential Award for Distinguished Service
  • Dr. Frank Rausche Engineering Award
  • Committee Member of the Year Award
  • Associate Member of the Year Award
  • Contractor Distinguished Service Award
  • John T. Parker Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
This Association does not happen without the member companies who choose to support the advancement of the driven pile industry. The representatives of those member companies who choose to volunteer their time, their expertise, and their passion, all in the name of pile driving, are considered for these awards, which are ultimately chosen by the PDCA Board of Directors. Plan to be there for the 2026 PDCA Annual Conference Awards Ceremony and luncheon, scheduled for 90 minutes on July 9th, to celebrate the 2025 Project of the Year Awards winners and the Association Awards winners.

There's a New Look for the 2026 Project of the Year Awards Program

The PDCA Project of the Year Awards Program showcases standout pile driving projects in Land, Marine, Earth Retention, Associate/Engineering Affiliate, and International categories each year. The winning entries are prominently featured in industry publications and contribute to greater recognition of driven pile-based, deep foundations solutions.

The 2026 program will open for entries on January 5, 2026; watch your inbox, the PDCA website (www.piledrivers.org), PDCA LinkedIn, and PDCA publications which will provide a link to the electronic entry form. Please be advised, ALL entries must include the following components:

  1. Completed entry form
  2. Project narrative written to publication standards
  3. At least six high-resolution project photos (minimum 300 dpi)

Past participants in the PDCA Project of the Year Awards Program will notice some changes in the 2026 competition. In order to keep the program compatible with an industry that has experienced increased construction costs in recent years, PDCA has adjusted the cost breaks in many of the project categories. See the following project categories which will be available in your 2026 entry form:

  • Land: Less than $3M
  • Land: $3M to $10M
  • Land: More than $10M
  • Marine: Less than $10M
  • Marine: More than $10M
  • Earth Retention: Less than $10M
  • Earth Retention: More than $10M
  • Associate/Engineering Affiliate
  • International

December is a great time to consider which pile driving projects your company will enter in the 2026 PDCA Project of Year Awards Program. The driven pile portion of your project must be complete by December 31, 2025 to be eligible.

The entry period will open on January 5, 2026, and all entries must be complete and submitted using an electronic file by April 10, 2026.
