Mountain State Meet-Up PDCA Networking Reception; A 'Pile' Drive in Utah

At the conclusion of the 2024 Engineers Driven Pile Institute (EDPI) program several of the attendees ventured to the nearby Bewilder Brewing Co. in downtown Salt Lake City to attend an industry networking reception. The event was called the Mountain State Meet-Up and it was designed to offer EDPI participants, as well as other deep foundations practitioners in Northern Utah and opportunity to engage with PDCA, network with like-minded career professionals, and simply relax at the end of the day. PDCA provided refreshments and a short welcome to the gathering.

It is customary for PDCA staff to make a courtesy calls to PDCA members and other deep foundations industry professionals in a given market before hosting one of the regional networking receptions. In advance of the Oct. 24th Mountain State Meet-Up, PDCA staff visited Salt Lake City Members from Gerhart Cole, Inc., Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company, Shannon & Wilson, and Terracon Consultants, to invite representatives to attend the industry reception. We also visited several contractors, equipment suppliers, and engineering affiliates which are not current PDCA members, in an effort to give more visibility to the organization in Northern Utah. Many thanks to all of the companies who welcomed us into your offices for brief meeting on October 23rd and 24th.

During the visit, the pair of geoprofessionals stood for a photo next to a display of awards the company has won over the years, including two PDCA Project of the Year award trophies.)
