The Foundation & Marine Contractors Association (FMCA) wrapped up the year with its annual December meeting and Holiday Social, bringing together members of the local geotechnical and deep foundation community for an evening of connection, conversation, and giving back.
Held at the Revere Hotel overlooking Boston Common, the event kicked off with a lively cocktail reception before transitioning into dinner and plenty of opportunity to catch up with colleagues. Contractors, engineers, and industry partners filled the room, continuing a long-standing FMCA tradition that blends professional networking with a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Several PDCA members who are also active in FMCA were in attendance, reinforcing the strong ties across our industry.
Beyond the social side, the evening carried an important message. FMCA once again encouraged attendees to support the Local Boston Area Food Bank, recognizing that basic necessities are not always a given for many families--especially during the holidays. Last year's event raised an impressive $3,000, and this year's goal aimed even higher. Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, donations are still coming in and making a meaningful impact.
The Holiday Social was a great reminder of what makes the deep foundation community strong: collaboration, shared purpose, and a willingness to support both our industry and our neighbors. FMCA closed out the year on a high note, already setting the tone for a connected and engaged year ahead.
See who was SPOTTED at the Holiday celebration...
