A capacity crowd of pile driving contractors, equipment manufacturers, industry suppliers, and affiliated engineers gathered Sept. 28th at the Copper House Tavern in Waltham, Mass for 'Cheers! to New England Pile Drivers.' The latest in a series of regional, PDCA networking happy hours was designed to grow the PDCA presence in this important, local market.
During a short presentation, PDCA Executive Director Frank Peters welcomed the large group consisting of several longtime PDCA members, as well as many other contractors, suppliers, and engineers who are considering involvement in the trade group that advocates the driven pile. He provided a brief overview of the organization, including an update on its latest initiative, a comprehensive vibrations study that the Board of Directors launched this year.
Throughout the evening, participants enjoyed an open bar and a variety of hors d'oeuvres, thanks to several event sponsors, which supported the function at two levels: 'Drive 'Em Deep' Sponsors - American Equipment & Foundation Co., Equipment Corporation of America, and Junttan USA. 'Sure, I'll Pitch In' Sponsors - American Piledriving Equipment, J.F. Brennan, GRL Engineers, Inc., Heron Wolf and M.T. Kaye Steel.

Board Member Randy Kelly, Current Membership Committee Chairman and Past Board Member Rich Anderson, and Board Member Brad Roberts drew the winning business cards for Alex Baittenger, Michael Deery, Rich Hammel, and Derek Brodnax.
