In case you hadn't heard, there is a new PDCA Texas Chapter! Earlier this year a committed group of pile driving professionals in the Lone Star State announced the formation of a non-profit association to serve the industry in the region. To date, the leadership of the group has met weekly, hosted a large social event and a held a membership drive. President Brandon Bicknell and executive team members Condon Verble, Armando Guajardo and Arjin Dogan are now introducing a new resource for Texas pile drivers, an online membership enrollment page. This new tool enables users to complete an application, pay Chapter dues, and submit it all online. See below:

In addition to simplified enrollment, the PDCA Texas Chapter has also established what may be the first social media page for a PDCA chapter. Click the LinkedIn graphic below to be redirected to their page and Follow them!
As an online presence grew for the new chapter, it quickly became apparent that they needed a logo. Bicknell learned that his executive assistant at Russell Marine LLC in Channelview, TX had graphic design skills and asked her to volunteer her talent by developing a chapter logo. Kyrsten Garcia, pictured above, quickly drafted a few options, and after a vote by the members, a new PDCA Texas Chapter logo was born.
There is more to come from the PDCA Texas Chapter; we have learned that they are developing an e-newsletter, planning a professional development course, and hosting one more networking event. Be sure to follow their LinkedIn page and watch future PDCA announcements to learn how you can become involved in the Texas Chapter.
