The driven pile industry is a significant participant at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, North America's largest construction trade show. Pile driving contractors, equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, civil engineers, and dozens of other affiliated parties make the trek to Las Vegas, NV every three years to appear as exhibitors, presenters, shoppers, or simply curious construction professionals. The 2026 event (March 37) brought together professionals from all major construction sectors to showcase the latest equipment, technology, and industry-leading education across millions of square feet. PDCA is a cooperating organization with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and American General Contractors of America (AGC), two of the four organizations responsible for triennial event.

New Member participates in Contractor Member Profile for April PileDriver magazine

Behind every issue of PileDriver magazine, there's a lot more happening than what readers see on the page. Sometimes that work even happens at a major industry event.

At this year's CONEXPO-CON/AGG, PDCA had the chance to connect with new member Shimmick Construction, a pile driving contractor based in Suisun City, California. As a new member of the Pile Driving Contractors Association, the company decided to take advantage of one of the many benefits available to members--a published Member Profile in PileDriver Magazine. The feature will formally introduce Shimmick Construction to the driven pile industry in the April issue.

While on the CONEXPO show grounds, Shimmick team members coordinated with PDCA for a quick meet-up. PileDriver magazine publisher Jill Harris was also there and joined the group to capture an additional photo that will appear in the upcoming profile. Think of it as a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into how part of the April issue of PileDriver comes together.

And speaking of PileDriver, the CONEXPO team gave the magazine some extra visibility at the show. It distributed hundreds of copies of the latest issue. Also, it displayed several sign-boards featuring logos of dozens of construction industry publications. Our favorite magazine made the list. Take a look at the photo above--can you spot the PileDriver name among all the titles?
