Origins:
The Contractors Foundation Institute (CFi) was established through PDCA's Associate Member Council as a committee of associates whose focus was (and is) to educate the driven pile industry with the hands-on tools necessary to budget and understand how to drive, test, and pull pile.

The CFi established the inaugural Driven Pile Academy in 2022, as a unique opportunity for PDCA Associate members - equipment manufacturers & suppliers - to provide onsite pile driving equipment training with the ideal instructor- to-student ratio, as well as valuable education on working rigs as they drove steel, concrete, timber. The Academy provided an individualized and an enjoyable learning experience for contractors, engineers, estimators, foreman, safety directors, and more to enhance their working knowledge of equipment, safety, best practices, and piling materials.

Academy Overview:
As the driven pile industry continues to transition, the equipment industry is in the forefront of education through experience and innovations. PDCA's Associate Member Council presents a hands-on educational Academy for the driven pile industry in a three-and-a-half-day classroom and outdoor interactive experience with real world applications taught by the industry's leading equipment professionals.
